d-Limonene in cleaning products

Sponsors

dlimonene, d-Limenene, d-limomeme, limonene are just some of more common misspellings of d-Limonene. Oil extracted from citurs rind is called d-Limonene. d-limonene is largely use in industrial cleaning and household products. It can be used either as a straight solvent, or as a water dilutable product.

Mineral spirits, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, toluene, glycol ethers, fluorinated, and chlorinated organic solvents can be replaced straight by d-Limonene. Since d-Limonene is not water soluble, it should be combined with a surfactant package to make it a water diluting and rinsable solution. Caustic and corrosive water based can be replaced with d-Limonene water based cleaner.
