Efficient emulsion stability is provided by Pemulen®* TR-1 or TR-2 Polymer in this effective, yet mild water-less hand cleaner.

Glucam™* E-20 Humectant helps to make the skin hydrated, supple and pleasant to the touch.


Procedure:

1.     Use a Lightnin’®  Mixer or similar variable speed unit and an impeller suitable for general mixing and blending operations.  Add the Pemulen®* Polymer into the vortex of the rapidly agitating d-limonene (~800rpm).  Allow to mix until homogenous and free of polymer lumps.

2.     Using moderate agitation ,add the deionized water to the oil phase and mix for~10minutes. Mix until uniform.

3.     PART C:  Premix the propylene glycol, glycerin, Glucam™*E-20 Humectant,  laureth-7, and preservative together.  Add to main batch.  Mix until uniform.
4.    Add sodium hydroxide to the formulation – check the pH frequently, until pH5.8 is achieved. For best results keep pH under 6.0.


**Optional Ingredients:  Add pumice, abrasive, color or fragrance if desired.

COMMENTS:Due to the level ofd-Limonene in this formulation, it is recommended that customers review the environmental and regulatory requirements of the states and countries where they wish to market this type of product to be sure that they are in compliance with local VOC regulations.
