Why chlorine bleach should not be mixed with other acidic cleaners or other chemicals.

Sponsors

Chlorine bleaches combined with ammonia (some glass cleaners) or with acid cleaners (like toilet bowl) or lye (like oven cleaners) will produce toxic and highly irritating chloramine and chlorine gases. Chlorine is the key component of dioxin. Common sodium hypochlorite bleach does not contain dioxins because chlorine must be in a gaseous state for dioxins to exist. So avoid it using with other chemicals.
