What is moly in moly grease?

Sponsors

Moly, short for molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), is an inorganic compound that is widely use as a solid or dry lubricant and often mixed with various oils and greases in order to lend its lubrication properties even in cases of almost complete oil loss. * Moly increases the extreme pressure property of lubricants so that it can withstand heavy loads and shock loading.
